Natural/Synthetic Slate Roofs

At Barris Roofing we have a great deal of experience in Slate roofs whether it is New Natural Slate or Synthetic Slates such as Cembrit Newland or Eternit Thrutone Fibre Cement Slates.

In many cases we can carefully remove the old slates and carefully sort and re-use them together with second hand slates from a salvage yard to keep the original character of your house.

If you prefer your new roof to be of Natural Slate there are several options available. Natural Canadian Slate from Cembrit-Blunn (Top Right) are of a very high standard and look very much like Welsh Slate, But at a fraction of the cost.

A New Roof of Synthetic Slate by your Roofers in Croydon is another alternative for homes where the roof structures are built for the weight of slates, and are considerably less expensive than Natural Slates.

Interlocking/Plain Tiles

For your new roof in tiles we offer a vast range of concrete tiles manufactured by Redland Monier including many profiles of interlocking tiles (Bottom Right) and Plain tiles. If you prefer we can also fit a new roof with Clay Plain Tiles (Centre Right) such as Rosemary, Acme, Keymer Etc..

Rosemary or Acme Clay Plain Tiles

All slates and tiles are fixed in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations

Zinc soakers and or Lead valley linings

Lead flashings to ALL abutment...Beware of anyone not intending to use lead flashings

Galvanised Steel Hip Irons

All Ridge and hip tiles bedded in correct mortar mix for roofing
